PUJA ................ NOW AND THEN

At last the "DURGA PUJA" is knocking at the door, our biggest festival. It's a lot for us……… Bengalis. "DURGA PUJA" is the heart and soul for us. For me it's a gr8 time to relax and freak out with friends.
Many sweet memories come to my mind when I speak about PUJA. For me PUJA means a long desired leave (though the free days are very less ...………4 days only) with no work in hand (generally!!!!!!!!!). I still remember those good old school days when we used to have a exam just before PUJA and I used to just scratch around ………….pray to end the exam as soon as possible and wait for the PUJA and PUJABARSIKIs (a special issue of magazines for PUJA). It was altogether a different time. I could smell the PUJA air. When I started for my school to give exam just before PUJA days it was an altogether different feeling. On my way to station our local "PUJA PANDAL" is situated. Everyday on my way to school I looked at the structure and used to say to myself "oh man when this damn exam will end and I'll have my long desired vacation". And when those vacation days really came ……….ahhhhhhh that feeling is just not possible to narrate in words. It was altogether a new happiness. Smell of PUJABARSIKI, new dresses…….we friends used to plan for PUJA from as early as 2-3 months early. That which places and PANDALS we gonna visit on those 4 days of PUJA.
Now it is reduced to just casual timeout, sudden planning, little PANDAL hopping and long chatting. I guess it is the effect of "time" (I can't say "age" ………. as I'm 22 only!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). My friends say it's all about age, mentality and maturity. Well may be…………………. Now we (I mean me and my friend circle) are rather interested in long "ADDA" (Bengali synonym of chatting) than PANDAL hopping. It has reduced to rather a meeting time with old friends rather than a time of endless roaming around the city streets. I also feel in me that I'm not that young one who had no problem walking miles without any problem. Now my mind also wants free chatting, long "MASTI" without interruption. May be that's an obvious change that we all go through in our life …………… change of test and ideas.

Sometimes love can be confusing too .................

Aha .............. love, may be the greatest inspiration (or misery?????)for life.
But sometime it can be the cause of great confusion. An incident happened so .........

In a zoo in California , a mother tiger gave birth to a rare set of triplet tiger cubs. Unfortunately, due to complications in the pregnancy, the cubs were born prematurely and due to their tiny size, they died shortly after birth.

The mother tiger after recovering from the delivery, suddenly started to decline in health, although physically she was fine. The veterinarians felt that the loss of her litter had caused the tigress to fall into a depression. The doctors decided that if the tigress could surrogate another mother's cubs, perhaps she would improve.

After checking with many other zoos across the country, the depressing news was that there were no tiger cubs of the right age to introduce to the mourning mother. The veter inarians decided to try something that had never been tried in a zoo environment. Sometimes a mother of one species will take on the care of a different species. The only orphans" that could be found quickly, were a litter of weaner pigs. The zoo keepers and vets wrapped the piglets in tiger skin and placed the babies around the mother tiger

Would they become cubs or pork chops?????????????

Pak clerics order quake aid groups to fire women

In Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) Muslim clerics told the aid agencies (working in that earth quake hit region for relief work) to fire all its women workers or to face violent protests!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! According to these so called wise peoples the NGOs present there for the good of the local people are exploiting their women. These "wise" peoples think that the NGOs hire beautiful women and take them to Islamabad for enjoyment. The prayer leader in Bagh City (a city in PoK) said "they (NGOs) keep women in office as decoration pieces because we know that women have no work …………………"

Deoband issues fatwa on "un-islamic" life insurance

One of India's most theological school issued "fatwa" against life insurance. It says Life Insurance is not permissible as it comprises element of interest and gambling which is not permissible.

(one question........... so what about banks where direct interest is taken and given ?????? you guys want to ban the concept of bank all over India or may be world .................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Guess all you have not forgot about the recent mockery of the so called "wise" peoples abut the national anthem of India. According to them it is "un-Islamic".


So what's wrong with you guys?

(N.B: For likeminded please add similar incidents known to u as a comments of this blog to enrich the information and inform the all the guys about Muslim extremism. And for those who are against this pleas post there comments too so I can understand the psychology behind extremism)
